Fletcher fit for Wednesday
Sir Alex Ferguson is expected to make numerous team changes for Wednesday night's clash with Portsmouth in the Barclays Premier League.
Darren Fletcher - United's scorer in the corresponding fixture last August - is among those who could return after missing Sunday's FA Cup semi-final defeat to Everton.
The Scottish international will give the United boss another option in central midfield, where he deployed Darron Gibson and Anderson at Wembley before sending on Paul Scholes.
"We left quite a few players back in Manchester and they’ll all be ready for Wednesday," Sir Alex told MUTV.
"Darren Fletcher will be fit, for example, but maybe Michael Carrick is the one we’ll have to assess a bit more, he could be a close call."
Wayne Rooney should also be fine for Portsmouth's visit, contrary to some inaccurate reports that he could miss the rest of the season with a metatarsal injury.
For more team news, see ManUtd.com on Monday afternoon following Sir Alex's midday press conference at Carrington.

SIR ALEX: LET'S GO FOR IT
Sir Alex Ferguson has challenged his players to go for the win against Arsenal at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon, instead of merely settling for the one point necessary to secure an 18th league title.
The United boss said on Friday morning: “I think that it helps we are playing Arsenal tomorrow because we know from previous games you have to play them at a good level. They are a very good team and they will attack us, that is without question.
"They won’t change the way they play so as I said about the semi-final, I’m expecting a good game and I think tomorrow will be exactly the same.
“We’ve got to concentrate on winning the league tomorrow and try to do that in our way. We need to try and go for the win.”
The United manager also expressed his desire for the Barclays Premier League trophy to be lifted at Old Trafford - as a reward for the supporters.
Sir Alex said: “It is strange that we have only won it once at Old Trafford in the ten times we have been champions."
If United win the league on Saturday, then you can watch all the post-match celebrations live from Old Trafford on MUTV and MUTV Online.

United may have emphatically seen off Arsenal in the Champions League, but Rio Ferdinand says the Reds will not be underestimating the Gunners in Saturday's league meeting.
Sir Alex's men need just one more point to secure an 11th Barclays Premier League title meaning a win or a draw will suffice at Old Trafford. Ferdinand insists United will have to work hard to gain the solitary point required against a Gunners side with a score to settle.
"Our performances in both legs of the semi-final were two of the best of the season," the defender told United Review. "But it can sometimes be a dangerous situation when you beat a team fairly convincingly and play them again soon after because they’ll probably feel they have something to prove.
"We can't allow them to do that and must focus on getting the result we want to win the title."

Papers: Wenger hails Reds
15/05/2009 10:17
Wenger: United are the best and deserve title
Arsene Wenger last night told Sir Alex Ferguson: Your Manchester United side are the best. The Premier League champions can retain their title by taking just a point against Arsenal at Old Trafford tomorrow. And Wenger, whose team trail a distant fourth, admits the table does not lie. He said: "The 18-point gap is a reflection we have to take on the chin. What people forget is that we were very far behind and we dropped too many points. Man United are world champions, European champions and will be champions of England. Everybody has to cope with that, not accept it and come back next year and beat them." United can complete another Double by beating Barcelona in the Champions League final later this month. And after years of bitter fighting over the Premier League title, the French manager insisted this season his fiercest opponents will be worthy winners. "Manchester United have been better than us without a doubt, the whole season." said Wenger. “They played under pressure, Liverpool won the day before, the next day they come out and they believe they will win.” - Neil McLeman, Daily Mirror
The Carlos Tevez affair continues to rumble on. The Sun reports how a Euro chief claims his contract is worthless and can be broken. Meanwhile The Independent tips “Tevez to walk over haggling” - a reference to United chief executive David Gill apparently negotiating a transfer fee with the Argentinian’s owner, Kia Joorabchian.
Elsewhere, Wayne Rooney has vowed to silence Arsenal supporters by winning the title on Saturday, according to the Daily Telegraph. The England striker has reportedly grown tired of taunts from fans of the Gunners, who were the last team to seal a league championship at Old Trafford in 2002.

Transfer Rumours: Spring
The season isn't over but already the press are preparing for a busy summer of transfer speculation.
One of the latest names to be linked with United is Mamadou Sakho, a French Under-21 international defender. There have also been rumours about senior French midfielder Franck Ribery replacing Cristiano Ronaldo (Guardian).
The Daily Mail also speculates about Cristiano's future: "United have made the first steps to secure Kaka as replacement should Ronaldo leave this summer."
Another player touted for the exit door is Carlos Tevez. The Sun believes "Argentina ace Tevez is frustrated at a lack of action at United" and could be replaced in the Reds' dressing room by Lyon's Karim Benzema.
Manchester United has a policy of not commenting on transfer speculation.
